2022 Spring Race Update

Spring is almost here. We even got a shorts run in last week in Connecticut! Followed by 6 inches of snow 24 hours later! Can’t make it up.

Training has been well underway for my Spring races. It’s felt good to be back to a steady routine after a few months of ‘lax miles NYC full.

Currently I am training for the SHAPE Women’s Health Half Marathon in April. Yes, I am happily returning to Central Park to run this women’s only half marathon (how COOL?!). I’ll be there for a wedding that weekend and figured why not!

I also have the HMF Mystic Half Marathon this May. This is probably the most local (and legit) half marathon near me. I’ve had yet to run it, so I am super excited! It’s scenic and hilly with an adorable medal to earn.

Both of these half’s have the goal of running strong and healthy. Spring is a busy time for me as I am the head coach for a high school girls lacrosse team. I also have my grad class work. Oh, and the 8 month old puppy we are training? No need to put more pressure on my running when my body will already be more overworked and tired.

All of this hard work will lead into summer marathon training. I’ve been eyeing the full in Narragansett RI in October for a while now.

As always, be sure to follow along here and my Instagram @ soulandstrides for the updates along the way.

What goals do you have for this spring? Xo
